Seiryo Electric Corporation (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) understands that personal information is an important asset in providing services related to information communication in the three business areas of “information and communication device business”, “information and communication system business” and “IoT business” in today’s highly developed information communication society; and recognizes that it an important duty of ours is to handle personal information properly.

We hereby assert that we strive to protect personal information by establishing our Privacy Policy on the protection and appropriate use of personal information, on the basis of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, relevant guidelines established by the national government of Japan, and other relevant regulations.

To implement our Privacy Policy, the Company establishes its Management System for the Protection of Personal Information, provides relevant information to its employees (including officers, general employees, part-time and contingent workers, and dispatched workers) and the other individuals concerned; implements the system; and maintains it while improving it continuously.

The Company acquires personal information by legal and fair means, e.g., by clarifying the purpose of the use of the information, and by obtaining the consent of the person to whom the information is relevant.

The scope of the use of personal information acquired by the Company is limited to that required for the achievement of a specified purpose. Further, the Company takes steps to ensure that the scope is so limited.

If the Company consigns the handling of personal information to a third party, e.g., in case it uses personal information jointly with a third party, it concludes an appropriate and necessary contract with the joint user or the consignee to ensure that personal information is used appropriately by the third party that uses such information jointly. Moreover, the Company takes the necessary steps to this end.

The Company observes laws on the handling of personal information, relevant guidelines established by the national government of Japan, and the other relevant regulations.

The Company does not provide personal information to a third party without obtaining the consent of the person to whom the information is relevant, except in exceptional cases specified by the law.

The Company takes reasonable measures and takes necessary and appropriate actions to prevent unauthorized accesses to personal information and the leak, loss, impairment, etc., of personal information.

The Company responds to complaints and requests for consultation on personal information quickly and appropriately, by checking that such a complaint or a request was made by the person to whom personal information in question is relevant.
